A main concern of modern photography is perfection. However, the creation of this ‘perfect image’ allows room for what is referred to as ‘Beautiful Errors.’ When breaking down perfectionism to find those beautiful errors, one needs to look for mistakes that could work to our advantage such as chaos, messiness, imbalance, and other similar flaws.
I began the process of searching within my own home for ideas on where chaos might be present, which reminded me of a storage room where we have saved most of our childhood belongings. Walking into that room brought back so many memories, in fact so much so that I have found myself nostalgic and reminiscent. I began looking through all the items and recognised many of the clothes from baby pictures which had invoked the idea of combining those pictures with new pictures of the clothes today while embracing the chaos as the background.
